Extended weight limit for international Priority Parcel Service SM (PPS)
The weight limit for international Priority Parcel Service SM (PPS) has been extended to offer customers increased flexibility in sending heavier and urgent packages, declared by American Airlines Cargo Division (AA Cargo) today. It has been increased to 100 pounds (46 kilograms) per piece for all shipments starting in United States to all countries of the world, with Japan as an exception.
Dave Brooks, the President of AA Cargo, said that AA Cargo consistently works on means to develop shipping options for its customers. He also emphasized on the provision of heavy piece shipments as a result of the expansion of PPS product with more access to global network.
Over the last 30 years, Priority Parcel Service has been consistent in its services in providing counter-to-counter deliveries on same the day all over Unites States and many parts of the world. This product can be availed through American’s ticket counters, cargo terminals and designated PPS facilities and does not require advanced booking. It gives an advantage of flight-specific and urgent boarding.
