Traveling disturbed due to Australian Dust Storm
Following a dust storm, all the International flights into Sydney were diverted. The storm was started in Broken Hill on Tuesday. Carrying an expected dust of 5 million tons, was spread to the Queensland (South.)
"We’ve got a combination of factors which have been building for ten months already - floods, droughts and strong winds," said Craig Strong from DustWatch at Griffith University in Queensland.
"Add to these factors the prevailing drought conditions that reduce the vegetation cover and the soil surface is at its most vulnerable to wind erosion."
Also, health authorities have advised people to stay indoor due to the increasing risks of health problems such as breathing trouble or Asthama.
Local radios were told by the Sydney residents that they contacted emergency services immediately when they woke up, suspecting a major fire in the city.
